Yacht Charter Šolta
Šolta is an island in Croatia, situated in the South Adriatic Sea in Dalmatia. Separated from Split by the Split Channel, it is a superb sailing area. Just west of the island of Brač, and east of the Drvenik islands, there is plenty of sailing to be had if you rent a boat from a Šolta charter base. Glamourous party-island Hvar is also close by.
Šolta’s jagged coastline provides plenty of opportunities to find little bays to anchor in for a swim or for the night; it is popular with the yachting crowd.
On the north-eastern coast of the island there are the large bays of Rogač and Nečujam. You can rent a boat in Šolta from Rogač where there is a small marina.
Šolta Island is reachable by ferry and catamaran lines from Split. Ferries between Split and Rogač go several times a day and during the summer there are additional departures. The ferry, which carries passengers and cars, takes 45 minutes and the catamaran about 30 minutes.
The main bus and train stations are located in Split. There is also an international ferry port in Split. The Split International Airport is 20-kilometers from the town center. We offer a speed boat transfer from Split port to the Rogač Marina on Šolta.
Sailing around Šolta and its islets is most pleasant and can get very busy in the high season. Navigation is straightforward and winds among the islands are mostly moderate during the summer months, usually from the NW and rarely exceeding force 4/5. Gusting is common in the narrow channels between islands and on the lee side of headlands.
