Yacht Charter Kaštela
Kastela and the Kastela Riviera, nestled between lush mountains and a beautiful coast, is one of the best places to charter a yacht from. Kastela itself is actually seven small villages - a collection of castles and fortified mansions. In ancient times it was a Greek port which became a stopover for Roman soldiers and eventually a summer retreat for Croatian kings. Now it is a tourist resort and a convenient place to rent a boat from.
It is located in between Trogir and Split with easy access to the islands of Brac, Hvar and Korcula to the south.
The Kastela Marina is one of the best starting points for boat rentals in Croatia. Kastela itself is worth exploring and the sailing in this area is superb. The historic towns of Trogir and Split are only an hours sail away.
Kastela is only 7 kilometers from Split International Airport, which has direct flights from Zagreb and many European cities. Bus and train stations are in the city of Split, 20 kilometers south. Kastela is connected to the Adriatic coastal road and nearby is the exit to the highway at Bisko. There are regular ferries from other Croatian ports and from Italy.
Sailing from Kastela, Dalmatia is generally easy with ideal wind and sea conditions. Navigation is straightforward and distances between harbours are not big. The prevailing winds are generally friendly. Renting a boat from Kastela grants you access to happening cities, and pleasurable sailing and sightseeing.
